Below, is a map of the north side of our wonderful island. This is where most of the hotels and tourist attractions are located. To give you an idea of proximity, we have marked down all of our recommended hotels, popular tourist sites and helpful locations.
Ixchel Beach Hotel
Conveniently located directly in the middle of North Beach at the base of Hidalgo Avenue (a popular pedestrian street full of shops, restaurants & bars). These high-end condos can be rented as a single hotel room, one bedroom suite (with full kitchen) or a two bedroom suite. Comprised of two buildings, building #1's two bedroom penthouses have a full roof balcony with a private entrance. This penthouse is often used to host informal pizza parties or great after-bar get-togethers.
The concierge can help guests with renting golf carts/scooters, schedule diving tours and set-up mainland tours. Each building has its own pool and poolside restaurant offering breakfasts, beach snack food and cold drinks. There are beach chairs, umbrellas and beach bars in front of the hotel for everyone to use. Room service is available. Privilege Aluxes Hotel The all-inclusive-optional hotel downtown. All rooms come with breakfast buffet, Wi-Fi and iPod docking stations. Most of our wedding parties decide against the all inclusive option since there are so many affordable places to eat and drink throughout the island. This hotel has a Thai restaurant, a buffet eatery and a coffee/wine bar on the beach. 24 hour room service is available and a complementary wet bar is in every room. This is a great option if you have guests that enjoy a resort-style hotel. Rates range between $99 (standard) - $450 (Presidential Suite). Na Balam Hotel Eco-chic hotel (Tulum-style) offering free yoga daily. This property has 18 standard hotel rooms, 4 Jacuzzi suites, 1 Jacuzzi penthouse and a 2 story one bedroom house with full kitchen. All rooms have air-conditioning, but lack TV or phone. Wi-Fi is available at the front desk area. The property is broken up into 2 sides; the pool/garden side and the beach side. Groups can rent the entire pool side to achieve a private area just for your guests at the hotel. For larger groups, the entire hotel is available to be reserved. All rooms include continental breakfast. The beach-side restaurant is a great place to hold a Welcome Dinner or Honeymoon Brunch. Rates range between $89-$210/night depending on the season. Casa Sirena B&B
Located in the heart of downtown, this intimate six-room B&B style rental house has been created from a historic Spanish colonial-style residence. Complimentary Full-breakfast every morning and happy hour on the roof-top bar nightly included. Couples can host a Welcome Reception in the courtyard or the roof-top bar offering margaritas and authentic regional dishes prepared by the talented resident chef. Casa Sirena can also be a Honeymoon Brunch location for the morning after (event max. capacity = 32 people).
